ASL Interpreter Services Order Process

Organizers have the option to order American Sign Language interpretation services for their Live and Recorded Events.

EventBuilder partners with a reputable ASL agency with a network of certified and experienced interpreters who provide high quality and accurate sign language for any remote event. As often as possible, your assigned ASL interpreter will have experience in your industry/event topic.

ASL Interpreter Event Options: Live and Recorded

Live: With Live Events, an ASL interpreter will join the Teams room and provide onscreen translation for your deaf or hard of hearing participants

Recorded: Using your recorded content, an ASL interpreter will record their translation and the two video streams will be stitched together to display next to your content. Using this option, you can add ASL to existing archived Events and upcoming Simulated Live Events.

Pricing 

ASL service is available for any remote event, regardless of duration, audience size, or format. The cost of service is based on the number of hours:  

Live Event: 0-2 hours: $1,000

Recorded: 1 hour: $600   

Additional hours will be prorated at a rate of: Live $1,000 | Recorded $600

Ordering ASL Interpreter Services

For live and simulated live events, email our Services team a minimum of 14 days in advance. Please include the following information:

Subject: ASL Interpreter Service Request - Live (or Simulated Live) Event 

Event Date
Event Time (please include time zone)
Industry/Topic (medical, technology, etc.)

Please send any event materials, e.g., draft slide deck, transcript, etc., a minimum of 7 days prior to the scheduled event start. Understanding your content will facilitate matching an ASL interpreter with experience in your topic and industry.

  • A link to the recording you wish to add ASL interpretation to
  • Any event-related materials, e.g. slide desk, transcript, etc.
  • Industry/Topic

Cancelling an ASL Interpreter Order

To avoid late cancellation fees, please note the following policies:

  • Cancellations within 5 business days of the event will be charged in full.
  • Cancellations between 5 and 10 business days of the event will be charged 50% of the quoted amount.
  • Cancellations prior to 10 business days before the event will not be charged. 

What to Expect

Live Events With Live American Sign Language

An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will join your presentation environment approximately 10-minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Organizers serve as the point of contact for event-day coordination with the assigned interpreter. The Organizer should confirm they are visible to the Attendees.

Recorded (Simulated Live and Past Recorded Events)

Your ASL translator will appear alongside your content. This new recording can replace your original Event recording or be placed into a new Event listing.
